Reorganisation and modernisation of the Grand Casino Baden. Design of a new, modern international style for the 3200 m2 gaming and gastronomy areas.
Strong connections and intensive blending of the gaming and gastronomy functions wherever possible merge the different contents and differently designed, separate areas to one exciting, eventful whole. A dialogue between the past and the future. By systematically covering the existing substance in shades of deep black, the space acquires new elegance while at the same time providing a neutral backdrop for all new interventions. The colour red runs like a thread from the lobby to the dining room, where it multiplies in the many different materials, surfaces and patterns and dominates the room. An organically-shaped, 70 m-long bar redefines the structure of the gaming room, creates new space within the space and connects all the Casino’s different content areas like a clip. From the dining room, which can be experienced in its full size from all perspectives, thick and semitransparent curtains can either be pulled completely aside or used to separate gaming areas if required. The colourful, floral fabrics merge in daring compositions and create a fresh, chic, modern atmosphere. They lend the room the necessary tension and provide surprise effects as the casino visitors pass through. Four new, differently themed restaurants and an additional bar with lounge in the gastronomy areas ensure an exciting, modern culinary experience. At the same time these restaurants are attractions for the Casino, rounding off the gaming experience.
